Long, Lush & Lavish!
Tuesday, June 26th, 2007Recently, there has been much discussion about the legality of eyelash extensions. Be assured that it is legal for beauty professionals in Ohio to offer eyelash extensions!
I am very happy to announce that we recently joined forces with Lavish Lashes Professional Eyelash Extensions. Our Spa School was tapped to be the official Ohio training site for workshops offered by Lavish Lashes! The Salon Schools Group has a long and respected history of training beauty professionals and we are dedicated to endorsing only those products and companies that are committed to excellence, professionalism and safety.
Lavish Lashes Professional Eyelash Extensions are semi-permanent, lasting for the life cycle of the natural lashes. (usually about 6 weeks) They have a natural looking curve and come in various lengths, colors and thicknesses.
In order for beauty professionals to purchase Lavish Lashes and offer them to their customers, they must first attend hands-on training by a certified instructor and must submit proof of their professional credentials. The day long workshop includes 3 ½ hours of theory followed by practice applying the individual synthetic lashes on a mannequin then advancing to a live model. After the workshop, participants must apply the lashes to five models and submit photographs before becoming certified.
I attended their workshop a few weeks ago - and let me tell you - I was very impressed! The instructor was extremely thorough in safety and sanitation procedures. Her techniques in applying the extensions was so precise that when she was finished no one could distinguish the extensions from the natural lashes. They simply looked long, lush and very natural!
Sounds like a lot of work, doesn’t it? Well, it is - and it should be! Eyelash extensions can prove to be very lucrative for a cosmetologist or esthetician - but to command a high price you must be the best!
If you are a licensed cosmetologist or esthetician and are interested in registering for an upcoming class, visit the Lavish Lashes website at Lavishlashes.com Training dates are August 5, October 15 and December 2. Only a handful of registrations are accepted and reservations can be made only through Lavish Lashes.
If you are not yet a beauty professional, but are anxious to get started - give our admissions office a call and get registered for an upcoming esthetics or cometology class.
And don’t forget to log on to lavishlashes.com and see what cool things await you!
Until next time…
