At Salon Schools Group we are committed to keeping abreast of, and in some cases, facilitating the continuing education of our graduates. Micropigmentation services are �?coming of age�? in the beauty industry; however, reliable, competent training is difficult to find.
Ohio estheticians are fortunate that Ruth Bailey-Dancy calls Ohio home. Ruth is a certified trainer and Fellow of the American Academy of Micropigmentation and a Trainer Member of The Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals. Based in Canton, Ohio, Ruth is credited with spearheading the push to require training for those professionals who wish to perform permanent cosmetic services.
Typically, Ruth teaches in Canton, but in an effort to educate professionals and to broaden the availability of permanent cosmetic services, Salon Schools Group is providing a training facility for Ruth October 8 through 12 at the 4390 Karl Road location of Ohio State School of Cosmetology.
Sixty (60) hours of training are required in Ohio for certification. Usually students must travel to Canton for the training. Salon Schools Group has developed a special schedule with Ruth to offer the class in Columbus for the first time, the week of October 8. Class size is limited to three (3) students.
At the conclusion of the week, students will have performed two (2) lip services, two (2) brow services and two(2) eyeliner services; have their own equipment; and be certified to perform micropigmentation in the state of Ohio. Each model must be patch tested first, and must pay a model fee of $150.00 to cover materials and insurance. Obtaining models is the responsibility of the student.
The cost of the 60-hour course is $3500.00. Students choose the type of machine to purchase from Ruth: either $895.00, $2650.00 or $3495.00. Therefore, the cost of the training, including machine, is either $4395.00, $6150.00, or $6995.00. We wish to emphasize that Salon Schools Group receives no monies from the tuition and equipment costs, nor do we charge Ruth for using our facility. Registration must be made directly with Ruth, at the address below, and all questions directed to her office.
Payment is made to Ruth in the following manner: $1500.00 to register, the machine of your choice paid for two weeks prior to class, and the balance of $2000.00 is due on October 8.
